A very popular way of acquiring the necessary skills to become a recognized artist is to study under an already established artist. The best way, at times, is to learn firsthand from an artist that has lived the career you intend to achieve. Another important step to becoming an artist comes in the form of knowledge about your art. Even if you are not getting “formal education”, you can still learn about the cultural significance of art and how it relates to the way we view things. A person will also need to know about color, mixing, hues, shading, value, depth and perception. These are all attributes that make a painting or graphic design a work of art. It is first necessary to understand the art form before you can manipulate it. A career as an artist is liberal and allows a person to express themselves. A career in such a field offers a person to truly do what they love while earning a living. |
